Science and Technology in Archaeological Research Center (STARC), The Cyprus Institute
Thenia Panagiotopoulou is a PhD candidate in Human Osteology at the Science and Technology in Archaeological Research Centre (STARC). She studied Archaeology at the University of Ioannina and later completed her Master’s degree at the University of Tübingen. Her current research explores what isotope analysis on human remains can tell us about diet, subsistence, and mobility in Bronze Age Cyprus and Crete. Alongside her laboratory based research, she remains actively involved in archaeological fieldwork and excavation.
Beyond the field and the lab, Thenia is passionate about making archaeology and archaeological science more accessible, engaging, and fun. She is the host of ArchaeoKapilio (GR), an archaeology podcast available on Spotify and YouTube, and also presents her own archaeology and culture radio show on Parea Radio (GR and EN).
