SASnet is a moderated email network managed by The Society for Archaeological Sciences as a free service for the international archaeometry community. The listserv has existed since 1991 to facilitate discussion about the application of methods from the physical and natural sciences to archaeological problems, and to provide rapid communication among archaeometrists and archaeologists. SASnet is not just for members; anyone can subscribe using the instructions on this page. The listserv is a resource for all cultural heritage workers who need access to technical expertise and serves as a forum for physical and natural scientists to discuss the development of archaeological applications for their methods. The users also take advantage of the listserv to announce upcoming conferences and workshops, award competitions, and educational and employment opportunities.
How to Subscribe to SASnet?
Step 1: To subscribe to SASnet you first need to be a registered user on this website. If you do not yet have a login please create user account here: https://socarchsci.org/component/users/registration.html or using the Login/out module at left.
Step 2: Once registered, please login, then go to https://socarchsci.org/sasnet-profile and click on 'Subscribe' next to 'SASnet'
Step 3: You will be sent a subscription confirmation to the email address you enter and from which you may post to SASnet (only subscribers may post to SASnet). If you didn't get a confirmation email, please let us know.
Once subscribed, to change your digest preferences login and click on this SASnet Profile link. By default you receive an email every time someone posts to SASnet, or you can select from a daily, weekly or monthly digest.
