Biaye, Adekunle Julius is a PhD Candidate in the Department of History and International Studies, University of Ilorin, Nigeria. His research focuses on African history, particularly the histories of indigenous communities, migration and mobility, and the processes through which historical knowledge is preserved, transmitted, and interpreted. His scholarship employs a convergent methodological framework, integrating archival materials, African oral histories, material culture, and archaeological techniques, including ceramic archaeometry etc, to investigate historical processes and reconstruct past experiences. By bringing documentary, oral, and material evidence into critical dialogue, his research seeks to illuminate dimensions of African history that remain underrepresented in conventional historical accounts. He has presented his research at national and international academic conferences, engaging with scholars across history, archaeology, oral history, and related fields. His scholarship is driven by an interest in strengthening evidence-based reconstruction of African pasts through the critical interrogation of diverse historical evidence.
