Dear Paleolimnology and Quaternary colleagues:

A few weeks ago, the web addresses and emails at the biology department at
Queen's University changed. A few of these web pages may be of interest to
members of this community and so I have listed them below.

1) The new Paleoecological Environmental Assessment and Research Lab (PEARL)
web page is now at:
http://post.queensu.ca/~pearl/index.htm

which has links to the other PEARL pages, as well as our new email addresses.

2) Although the Springer publishers web site now has comprehensive web pages
for the Journal of Paleolimnology (now edited by Mark Brenner and Tom
Whitmore), we continue to maintain a supplementary J. Paleolimnology web page
here, which contains some historical material as well as additional information
that may be useful for manuscript preparation, etc. The url for that web page
is now:

http://post.queensu.ca/~smolj/jopl/index.html

3) Similarly, Springer has web pages for each of the Developments in
Paleoenvironmental Research (DPER) books. However, the one we maintain at PEARL
has a lot of additional information on the books, as well as information on
what is required to submit book proposals, links to the various books in the
series, and other such information. It is now at:

http://post.queensu.ca/~smolj/dper/index.html

4) Finally, and especially as classes are starting for some of us, the web page
associated with my new textbook:

Smol, J.P. 2008. Pollution of Lakes and Rivers: A Paleoenvironmental
Perspective - 2nd Edition. Blackwell Publishing, Oxford. 383 pp. Approx. $65
US

is now at:
http://post.queensu.ca/~pearl/textbook.htm

This page includes the link to the downloads for the free PowerPoint slides of
all the figures in the book (for lecture purposes only). If you need more
information to obtain these downloads, please contact me at smolj@queensu.ca

Best wishes, John
