Postdoctoral Fellows  Geochronology and 
Quaternary Stratigraphy and Geoarchaeology.
The CENIEH (National Research Centre on Human 
Evolution, Spain) is hosting two postdoctoral 
research positions under the Ramón y Cajal 
Fellowships in the fields of (a) Geochronology 
and (b) Geoarchaeology. Position (a) will focus 
on the development and application of 
geochronological methods to the study of 
archaeological/paleontological sites in the 
peri-Mediterranean domain. Dating methods include 
radiogenic isotopes, ESR, and luminescence. 
Position (b) is aimed at stratigraphical studies 
of Neogene and Quaternary environments, with 
emphasis on continental and littoral sedimentary 
systems, as well as on archaeological sediments. 
A modern geochronology and geoarchaeology 
laboratory complex is being installed in the 
CENIEH, including MC-ICPMS, luminescence, ESR, 
XRD, XRF, FTIR, sedimentology laboratory, and 
clean room. The appointments to these positions 
will be at the rank of Research Scientist and for 
up to 5 years, with the possibility of
