As previously announced at last year's annual GSA meeting, you are invited
to submit a manuscript to a special issue of Quaternary International focusing
on records of hurricane and other disasters.
This special issue will collect papers from the GSA Special Topical Session

Disasters at the annual Geological Society of America meeting held in October
2006, and from a meeting on Past Record of Ancient Hurricanes held in
Louisiana in September 2006 as part of the IGCP 490: The role of Holocene
environmental catastrophes in human history.
Deadline for submission of manuscripts has been extended to April 30, 2007.
