CANQUA Ottawa 2007

June 4-8, 2007

Carleton University, Ottawa, Ontario, Canada

The Canadian Quaternary Association conference in 2007 will be hosted at Carleton University, Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, on June 4-8, 2007.  The conference will provide an invigorating forum for those interested in the interdisciplinary field of Quaternary geoscience, including geologists, geomorphologists, physical geographers, biologists, botanists, oceanographers, archaeologists, environmentalists, and others. The organizing committee extends a warm invitation to all interested persons to attend this conference.

The CANQUA Ottawa 2007 meeting is planned to be a five-day conference consisting of four days of technical sessions and an intervening day of mid-conference field trips.  The technical sessions will consist of oral and poster presentations organized under six special sessions and one general session.  There will also be a pre-conference short course, a conference banquet, and a post-conference field trip.

Call for Abstracts

The abstract submission period for oral and poster presentations is now open and extends to March 13, 2007.  Details on the submission process and abstract formatting requirements can be found at www.canquaottawa2007.ca.

Conference Registration

Registration for CANQUA Ottawa 2007 is now open.  The early registration period extends to March 13, 2007, during which a discounted registration fee is available.  Information on the conference registration can be found at www.canquaottawa2007.ca.

KEY DATES

Tuesday, March 13, 2007 - deadline for submission of oral and poster abstracts.

Le congrès 2007 de l'Association canadienne pour l'étude du Quaternaire aura lieu à l'Université Carleton (Ottawa, Ontario, Canada) du 4 au 8 juin 2007. Le congrès a pour but de promouvoir des échanges et des discussions sous le thème du Quaternaire incluant des participants tels que géologues, géomorphologues, géographes en physiographie, biologistes, botanistes, océanographes, archéologues, environnementalistes et autres.
Le comité organisateur lance une invitation chaleureuse à toute personne intéressée au sujet du congrès à y participer.

Le congrès CANQUA Ottawa 2007 se déroulera sur une période de 5 jours et consistera en quatre journées de sessions techniques ainsi qu'en une journée d'excursions locales à la mi-congrès. Les sessions techniques consisteront en des présentations sous forme d'affiches et de présentations orales regroupées sous six sessions spéciales et une session générale. Également, il y aura un cours intensif pré-congrès, un banquet et une excursion post-congrès.
